Assessing the Effectiveness of the Integrated OSPE in Undergraduate Medical Curriculum, Students’ Perception

Introduction: Integrated OSPE is a multi-disciplinary practical exam where many disciplines are included. Each station written as case scenario after that the students requested to perform specific task and answer question related case. Thereafter there integration between cognitive psychomotor skills. In addition also integrated aligned with vertical in same exam, student will be assessed on knowledge skills of basic clinical sciences. The current study assesses effectiveness from students’ perception psychometric analysis for satisfaction questionnaire was performed ensure trustworthiness data. Aim Study: To assess second-and third-year medical OSPE. Material Methods: A descriptive study, cross-sectional utilized factor inter-correlations responses 23 items reflecting assessment towards sample 293 carried out. conducted at Fakeeh College Medical Sciences, Jeddah, KSA. Instrument: self-administrated distributed secondand students. Results: Most were satisfied results revealed I-OSPE survey resulted four factors. Conclusion: vital implemented especially an curriculum teaching strategies need methods. shows high rate I-OSPE.
